Sallie was a social demon, and luckily all of her friends were gossipy as hell. So when the Conjuring House demon told Sallie that Ryan Bergara was coming back to her house to play with her, she could hardly contain her excitement.

Fear fed Sallie, and kept her alive, but fear was easy to come by on account of her house being so famous. Silly ghost hunters came from all over the world and kept her full. She lived a life of luxury compared to many of her counterparts. But that didn’t mean she was going to sit back and relax when Ryan visited. Oh no, he was in for a real treat.

She plotted and planned, trying to figure out the best ways to really leave her mark. She was the kind of demon that liked to really capture her audience and make them remember her. She knew how to maintain an image, after all.

It would have been so thrilling to possess Ryan, force him to do her bidding, and make him eat all those nasty words he said to her last time. But she still didn’t have that power. So she was going to have to instead focus on doing things that really made Ryan’s heart race. She was going to try touching him this time, but she wasn’t quite sure she could pull that off.

She sent out her hell hound Rufus to watch for Ryan’s arrival. Rufus disguised himself as a plain black dog so that he could move about unnoticed. Once he came running up her street, barking, Sallie knew Ryan was close. She gleefully checked her pigtails in the mirror and made sure her simple white dress was crinkled at the edges.

She stood in the kitchen for old times’ sake, and waited. Things felt different as soon as Ryan walked through the door. He was older, sure. His hair looked fantastic, and his arms were even bigger than she remembered. But there was an edge to his emotions, something almost like resignation wafting off of him. That didn’t taste very good.

Sallie didn’t let that deter her, though. This was probably going to be her only chance to make Ryan truly notice her. She wanted him to remember her forever.

When he turned on the spirit box, she requested he dance in her living room. She really got a full show. Ryan swaying his hips nearly made Sallie faint. If she had human skin, she was sure she would have been blushing. She tried to grab Ryan’s ass the whole time, but he was moving too fast for her. And Shane kept unhelpfully getting in the way. He was looking at Ryan too, watching him, but Sallie sure couldn’t blame him. She felt immense satisfaction when Ryan seemed too freaked out to even notice. If Shane was trying to compete with her, surely she was winning.

Later, instead of respecting her house, Shane had the audacity to sit right on her countertop with his legs spread wide like a common whore. It sure seemed like he was desperate for attention. It was really unfair that Ryan could see Shane like that, when Sallie couldn’t even make herself visible. Sallie slammed her fist into the wood by Shane loudly, three times, really hoping that Shane got the message to fuck off. That was HER counter.

He didn’t move, but at least Ryan was impressed by her power. Summoning the strength to put her fist against the countertop nearly made her pass out, but it was worth it for the delicious fear that spiked up Ryan’s spine. He didn’t even comment on Shane’s pose because he was too distracted.

Then the pair of them drew that nasty picture of her, and Sallie nearly wept. Ryan didn’t think she was sexy at all! He’d never even feasted his eyes upon her rotting flesh, wrinkled and peeling face, and jet black eyes. He had no idea what he was missing. As soon as Ryan turned on the spirit box, she told Ryan and Shane they both sucked. She was so angry she could have screamed. She set about looking for a knife, ready to hack them to pieces. Shane deserved it, because he shouted at her so loud he made her ears bleed sometimes.

But then Ryan laughed, and that made her laugh too. The sound of his voice was infectious like that. He was truly too lovely of a specimen for her to remain mad at him. She knew the night was growing short, so she told Ryan he was a tasty snack. And she meant it, too. If she was older and more powerful, she could have devoured Ryan whole. She would have loved to sink her teeth into him and make him scream.

Instead, she was forced to settle for running an incorporeal hand over his massive thighs and talking to him through the spirit box.

When Shane and Ryan went to the basement, she was reminded of the absolute debauchery they engaged in all those years ago. It had been so delicious to watch Ryan shake in fear, completely unhinged and so worried for Shane. That was the first time Shane had appeared remotely useful to her.

She realized now that she and Shane had more in common than she wanted to admit. Sure, he had normal human flesh, smelled like human sweat, wasn’t funny at all, and was significantly taller than her. But she could tell he thought Ryan was something special. She caught him looking at Ryan almost as much as she did.

At the end of the night, when Ryan was supposed to be sleeping, he cuddled up next to Shane’s sleeping bag. Sallie seethed and her hands became fists at her sides. She knew her eyes were glowing red, but Ryan wasn't even looking. Her first instinct was to grab a chair and bash Shane’s head in, but if she did that, Ryan would not be happy with her.

She stomped around upstairs for a while and kicked the toys out of her toy circle until she calmed down. If she couldn’t hold Ryan, she’d have to leave that to Shane. She realized her tantrum was causing her to miss out on prime Ryan-watching, so she hurriedly came back downstairs and settled onto an armchair.

Shane had wrapped his huge arms around Ryan’s chest and pushed his nose into the nape of his neck. Ryan wasn’t sleeping, and his body still seemed a little tense. There was a worried crease in his brow, and his face shone with sweat. She grinned. Even after all this time, and with Shane’s arms around him, Ryan was still afraid of her.

So she let them be.
