Dear Author - Happy Halloween!
Thank you so much, mystery author! I'm excited to read what you write :) I would like any rating and I like both cute holiday themed things (dressing up, office parties, trick or treating, corn maze) and spooky/scary/creepy themed things (pagan traditions, hauntings, walking between worlds, The Conjuring AU, supernatural investigators AU).
General tropes I like:
+More experienced character teaching less experienced character something, and being surprised or impressed that the less experienced character is actually totally capable
+Getting dressed up for some kind of event or party
+Snowed in/Trapped together
+Women subverting gender roles in small or large ways (ex. wearing a suit to an event, being the emotionally closed off one in a relationship, not being good at "girly" things, etc)
+Characters surprised or annoyed at themselves for catching feelings, and then facing what that might mean to them
+Planning a heist/mission as equals even though they are in different positions of power/authority
+Road trips
+Witches/spells/supernatural things made them do it
+Body swap where the characters have to navigate a "day in the life" and realize there's a lot they didn't know about the other person's duties/job/position
+Enemies to lovers (or an antagonistic relationship that changes over time)
+Friends with benefits until one or both catch feelings and pining or panic ensues
+Ambiguous endings or hopeful endings (but everything does not have to be resolved by the end)
+Angst/dark characters/horror with some kind of partial resolution

I love all of the tropes about Shane being a demon or supernatural entity. I also like serial killer AUs or AUs where one of them can see dead people. I would get a kick out of office party shenanigans or corn maze shenanigans, or a case fic. Placing Ryan and Shane in a different time period would be interesting. I ship Shane/Ryan if you like to write ships.
Peaky Blinders
Ada is my favorite Peaky lady, so any more details or headcanons about her life would be super interesting. I loved her and Freddy but I also like how she's able to positively influence Tommy. Their dynamic and back and forth is great. I'd be interested in reading your take on if Ada would have taken charge instead of Tommy.
Esme is not in the show enough! So any missing scenes or headcanons are welcome. I've always wanted to know more about her past. I also like reading about if she had to marry some other Shelby brother. Or what if she had totally refused the marriage with John?
Tommy is my favorite "bad guy" on television, so any play on how much of a tortured soul he is would be great. Is he haunted by the people he killed? What about all that has tormented him since the war? How often does he talk to Grace? What if he could actually see her when the veil is lifted (or someone he thinks is her)?
Shadowhunters
I really want to know what the Institute does for halloween. Is it too mundane? Maybe the gang has to infiltrate a mundane halloween party for a case? OR maybe a ship goes on a cute date to a corn maze and shit hits the fan? Feel free to include as many or as few characters as you would like. My favorite ships are Jace/Simon, Izzy/Simon, Clary/Izzy, Jace/Clary, Maryse/Luke, and Jace/Simon/Clary.
