Yeah, definitely no news was good news in that case. Sounds like there was a ton of drama, but the lawsuit really started because one author's publisher sent cease and desist letters to another author - and then that author suffered because websites started taking down her book/stopped advertising. So the author who was served the cease and desist letters actually sued. Their books were generally about A/B/O werewolves.

I'll keep on listening for more developments on saving fandom stuff. I've been seeing a lot of old archives imported into AO3 lately so I'm sure that's part of the effort as a whole.
