Seems like the internet agrees that season 2 goes really heavy into teen ~drama~ and that gets grating, but from my perspective the whole show is just a touch over the top so I'm not phased :P Season 4's villain is a tiny bit cartoonish, so it wasn't my favorite. I think the main characters themselves consistently got better over the five seasons, though.
