Live right now, just be yourself

I watched the prequel Jujutsu Kaisen movie and it was so good! I can't remember the last time I watched an animated movie that I liked but they really did a great job with the fight scenes. And I loved that they cut down on the inner monologues. Plus I unlocked more Gojo backstory and he's got an ex-bestie turned arch nemesis! Very fun.

I finished Dead Boy Detectives. Now I'm sad it's over. The last three episodes really came together and the characters became so much more concrete to me. Their version of hell was actually creepy, which I really liked. It would have been fun to have a season two in London.

Day 9 of the song challenge - A song that makes you want to dance: Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest!!

Day 10 - A song about drugs or alcohol: Hallucinogenics by Matt Maeson. Someone really needs to make an SPN vid to this song. [Content warning for sucidal ideation in the music video]

Day 11 - A song you never get tired of: Creatures in Heaven by Glass Animals (still a pretty new song but I'll be shocked if it's not my most-played song by the end of the year).

Day 12 - A song from your preteen years: The Middle by Jimmy Eat World.

The last one sure is a throwback to the past. Now I'm wanting to see if there's even more late 90s/early 2000s songs I want on my playlist. When I've been meaning to thin it out since August when I last packed it full after watching part of the Opening ceremony of the Olympics.

I'm never too sure on genres, but the music that kind of threw me back to my teens was some electronic / trance / techno music like "Sandstorm" by Darude or "Freed From Desire" by Gala. There was other great music (some of which I recognized and some not), but that one section really made me crave listening to more of that music again. For the live performances they had some pretty impressive sceneries as well.

I'm sure there are depths to it that I never had contact with, but I think that techno was part of the mainstream music over here and I've always had a rather eclectic taste in music. Although, I'm fairly sure that most of what I heard was still on the mainstream-ish end of whatever genre it belongs to.

Dead Boy Detectives is definitely on my list! Did it get cancelled? Fricken Netflix.
