Hardest story to write
What She Said Crawled Inside Me (Doctor Odyssey, Max/Tristan/Avery). For me, it's always hard to write a new fandom for the first time but I also really wanted this fic to be compliant with canon events so it was tough to come up with the exact plot for this one.

Easiest story to write
promise I'll be gentle (Hades game, Zag/Than): I remember this one just flowing out of me.

Story most underappreciated by the universe in my opinion
Two Handlers Required (MCU, Sam/Bucky/Zemo) - Bucky gets spitroasted! I really thought it would make more of a splash.

2026 Writing Goals Rules!

1. The writing goal for any given year is to do 'just one more' than in the previous year. This applies to words, fics and fandoms. So, if in the previous year I wrote 10,000 words across 3 fics in 3 fandoms, then the goal for this year would be 10,001 words across 4 fics in 4 fandoms.

2. Co-written fics don't count toward the totals.

3. If the goals are surpassed during the year, a new goal is calculated like this:
- Words: Increae the goal by adding on the original wordcount target for the year again.
- Fics: Increase the goal by 2 fics for each remaining month in the year
- Fandoms: Increase the goal by 1.

4. Goals stop revising after Halloween (spooky!); surpassing them after that just makes me an overachiever.

5. Only posted works count. WIPs are a blight on my harddrive :P

23/26. I have 362 works on AO3. I actually had a lot of W and P titles, which I did not expect. I think 'x' is difficult unless I name a fic X marks the spot?? I could probably come up with titles for the other two letters.

Last 3 books I read:

•Greywaren by Maggie Stiefvater. Maybe not as wonderful as the first trilogy, but Declan Lynch, my beloved!!! The sappy ending was earned and my favorite found family did finally make an appearance.

•The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. This was a book I'd been meaning to read for a while. The main character was so relatable and this one definitely hit me in the heart a few times, but I also could tell it was geared towards teens.

•People Like Us by Jason Mott. This book was very twisty and the format seemed so unique. The character talks like he's in a noir but it's a modern book, which made it so fascinating. And there's magic! And lots of grief and tragedy, too. It definitely has a lot to say about gun violence and being black in America. I'm just not sure I understood the abrupt ending.

•Honey Don't. There were so many genres mashed up in this one, it was hard to know what the movie was going for. BUT there were sexy lesbians and Chris Evans in a jock strap, so some of it was entertaining.

4. Is there a song you love but don't like its music video?

There's nothing inherently wrong with the Waffle House music video, but it disappointed me. I love the song, and when I first heard it I thought it had such a great message about being humble/remembering where you came from. But the music video is this huge musical production that feels a bit sterile and very distant from the lyrics.

7. Would you wear a t-shirt of a band you're not into?

No, because I wouldn't want to answer awkward questions about the shirt :P

8. Is there an artist or song that you like, despite being of a genre you don't usually like?

I like Andy Black's solo work, but I don't really listen to emo or Black Veil Brides (maybe I should?).

Of course! This was so common, I remember burning CDs for my friends for their birthdays or special events in high school. I think the last time I got a burned CD was from a boyfriend in college, but it wasn't a mixtape - just a copy of a CD.

38. Which was the first concert you went to?

I'm not entirely sure but probably a band that was playing for free at the Fair. Maybe Tower of Power?

40. Which was the best concert you’ve ever been to?

Fall Out Boy was super fun - that also had a lot to do with the crowd but they sounded so good. Brooks and Dunn had such an impressive stage production - even from the cheap seats it looked fantastic and every song had a cohesive theme, plus I loved their banter. And then I have to mention the very first Jonas Brothers show I ever went to, when they weren't famous and Joe jumped into the small crowd and serenaded everyone with "Mandy" and it was totally incredible.

Badlands by Halsey (2019). Youngblood by 5 Seconds of Summer (2018).

49. Is there a cover you like more than the original version?

Of course the original (1975) is great, but The Chicks cover of Landslide is SO epic imo (2002).

56. A song/album/artist you wish you could forget so you could have the experience of hearing it for the first time again:

A Little Bit Longer by Jonas Brothers in 2008. This was the album that launched their career into superstar territory and I really remember every single song on that album. It came at just the right time in my life and it made me feel so understood. That album was so important to me, it's hard to capture how amazing it felt to listen to it for the first time but I'd gladly feel all that again :)

I just started using the writing website/google docs replacement Ellipsus after argentum_ls' recommendation and I really like it. It's very aesthetically pleasing to me, plus it has the word count right at the top. I like the way the outline part works too where I can jump to different parts of the fic with headers. However, it's going to take time to completely transition out of Google docs because I have so many fics saved in various docs and I'm nervous about deleting everything. Maybe I'll just keep a couple back-ups, since I won't be deleting my Google account anyway. I do want to find an alternate email service though.

I've been trying to nail down Liz Ortecho's POV when writing RNM fic, since I seem to write mostly Max's POV.

I recently finished reading Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater. SO SO good! Ronan was my favorite character from The Raven Cycle trilogy already, but this book still blew me away. I loved Jordan & Hennessy. Declan Lynch!! He's one of those characters I can't adequately explain how much I love. I relate to him, he is me, he is so different from me, he's also sexy as hell? Like I said, it's hard to say.

Also almost finished watching Jujutsu Kaisen season 1. I literally laughed out loud at several parts, but it's also dark and gory and intense. Megumi Fushiguro is still my favorite. Itadori/Fushiguro though ♥

This gifset on tumblr comparing D-Day shots from Band of Brothers and Masters of the Air captures the dramatic differences in perspective we got from that day in the HBO war universe. I've actually come to appreciate that part of Masters of the Air much more, since the air war had been going on way before D-Day and it seems like they were trying to make that point by glossing over the ground invasion.
