Jukebox June + Baseball History

Major League Baseball has incorporated the Negro League stats into their own stats. Thanks to misbegotten for a link to this article about some of the 'new' stars.

As Bill James once wrote, referring to Robinson, Campanella, Mays, Banks and Aaron, "If those leagues could produce five players like that in seven years [after integration], what about the previous 40?"

Exactly!

Oh also, there's a relatively new icon community called queermedia_ic and right now the challenge is 9-1-1 themed :D
