2017 Fandom Review Meme
Your main fandom of the year?
Steve Rogers and Tony Stark of MCU.
Your favorite film watched this year?
Wonder Woman! Thor: Ragnarok. Also, don't tell anyone but I had a fun time watching Justice League.
Your favorite book read this year?
The Conscious Bride. Really helped me put into words everything I've been feeling as I prepare for my wedding.
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Right to It and World on Fire by Ashe and Louis the Child. Also, this fanvideo: The Night We Met featuring Steve Rogers/Peggy Carter.
Your favorite TV show of the year?
Teen Wolf s6b and Wynonna Earp s2.
Your favourite DW/LJ community of the year?
Cap_Ironman. I've been slightly obsessed. They are so organized over there.
Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
The huge Steve/Tony community! I'm also trying to get more involved with DCEU and the Wynonna Earp fandoms.
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
Finn/Poe had some cute moments in TLJ, but I was disappointed in their lack of character development and I don't really want to be involved in fandom as much because of that. Also, iZombie s3 was not everything I wanted it to be. I was excited for American Assassin but then the movie was pretty terrible. It was like watching a series of stereotypes in slow motion.
Your fandom boyfriend of the year?

Your fandom girlfriend of the year?

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
ALL of Teen Wolf 6b. The Scott/Stiles! The Lydia/Stiles! The Liam/Theo! Team Parents! It seemed like everyone had their awesome final moment.
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Smallville. I've had some major nostalgia lately, especially after watching Justice League. So I've been rewatching on Hulu.
The fandom you haven’t tried yet, but want to?
I have this strange feeling that I'm going to get sucked into the Thor/Loki fandom...
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
Black Panther! Infinity War! Maze Runner 3! Wynonna Earp s3! iZombie s4!

I'm glad you've found a good book to connect to before the wedding. Being married involved some fundamental attitude changes I didn't expect and practical things I simply didn't think about. I was never someone who particularly wanted to marry, and yet at some point, it hit me hard with how it didn't feel like a formality and just a couple of signatures :) Hope it helped you with sorting through your thoughts!

The book discusses the ways marriage/adjusting to marriage changes women by talking about a couple of case studies and examples. I really liked the things the book brought out, because the transition was leaving me feeling kind of alone, considering marriage was never really something I pictured myself doing either. I should have known that I wasn't the only one! The fundamental attitude changes, like you said, are definitely something I was not prepared for, but the book really helped me put things in perspective!
