I love that this is from Isobel's POV. Of course she has complicated feelings of vulnerability and unease about being out there again, missing being out in the desert, awe and curiosity about the stars. I love that the three of them go out there together - such a sweet, lovely moment of solidarity and support between them all.

And hahaha, the hilarious teen-specific detail of having stolen one (1) beer from their dad to share, lol. XD

Such a great last series of sentences, too - a lovely moment of self-reflection and wonder to end on.
