Episde 6: This one was so sexy! The pride parade! The pool sex!

Where did Old man from Hoy get his blockers? [I'm glad this was revealed later. What a neat and liberating scene with him throwing open his hide-out and letting Riley in on his life]

Where will Sun go? Wow, her goodbye scene was so sad.

Oh lito can cook?? They're so domestic and so excited to go to Sao Paulo! I love that for them. What an OT3 ♥

Everyone hanging out of the VAN DAMN to watch Capheus and Zakia was so cute.

My favorite quote of the episode:

Capheus: We do live in different worlds.

Zakia: Not tonight we don't.

Oh damn Wolfgang and Kala having sex in the pool!! And the sex being mirrored with Capheus and Zakia!! I loved how they used that song in that scene, and how they wove in the matching positions with three different locations. I loved how it seemed like everything was so new for all four characters. They were experiencing intimacy and desire in a way that they hadn't before, even notorious fuck boi Wolfgang who seemed surprised by her outfit and went all in with utilizing the pool water to hold her up etc. I think this was a call-back to Wolfgang seeing her wet before?

Capheus marveling at Zakia's apartment the next morning was so sincere and so sweet. I like how they're exploring the class difference theme, especially when Western viewers might not be familiar with the modern city center in Kenya.

Rajan kissing Wolfgang!!!!!! Wolfgang's happy smirk and his giggle - I'm SCREAMING. He did NOT have to have that cute reaction. I'm shipping them so hard right now.

Will talking to Wolfgang while he's naked, coaching him about Lila - DELICIOUS scene. I'm loving how they had that level of trust or at least communication. Lots of AU fic ideas about how maybe Will was already there visiting or Wolfgang had already summoned him in the shower without meaning to - or Will is the person he trusts to stop him from fucking Lila?? So many possibilities there.

Okay so BPO radically changed and something happened to Angelica in Chicago. Then she comes back, brain grafts with that guy in her cluster, and burns her own house down?? Someone wanted to destroy whatever it was she was researching, OR she really did become radicalized. This brain grafting situation is fascinating, because we as the audience can't even be sure if the sensates are themselves or are being controlled by someone else. Although since Milton is standing right next to her, I'm assuming it could not have been him brain-grafting her.

The pride parade was so beautiful! How on earth did they shoot that scene with all of the sensates there?? It seemed so real.

Episode 7: AKA not my fav.

Oh no Rajan, I was just starting to like you more!! I don't think his explanation later on in the ep really cleared up his company's shady dealings for me.

Daniela's parents are so terrible. Such a contrast to Amanita's parents in this ep, who are so open and fun, and also so comfortable with each other and their daughter. Oakland, CA mention!!!

Diego and Will feels were so real. Ahh he "wants his old life back." But where would that leave his cluster?? Also I'm just not sold on the Riley/Will romance, which was a big part of this ep. They've barely talked since he constantly had to be drugged up, and I just want more tension there. Wouldn't being with Riley all the time just remind him of having to be drugged and disengaged from everyone and everything?

So glad to see the cluster supporting Sun. LOL at Wolfgang telling her to kill her bro, meanwhile Capheus is like noooo that won't solve anything. And Detective Mun came back! Damn, has there ever been a kinkier het couple?? Mun keeps on looking lovestruck even as he's getting his ass totally beat. The kiss was SO intense, and yet also seemed a bit transactional for Sun. She did knock him out after, so it was a winning tactic. I wonder where they are going with them, because I could be open to so many different interpretations.

Oh lito :( This episode had so many ouchies and the betrayal of his casting agency stung so bad. I could tell that dude was a piece of shit but Lito still trusted him.

When they say he "Bulgered" Todd to kill that British guy - that means brain grafting, right?

They're all back at the church!! That's nice symmetry, but I'm curious why it's Riley that is the one to go there. I mean, Nomi lives in the US and that flight would have been way shorter. She's "dead" now and safe, she could have gone! But I guess it's because Riley is the one who worked that lead after getting in touch with Mr. Hoy. OR is it because Riley's the only one of them that's actually been a mom (even for a short time)? It seems like they should have unlocked more Angelica memories the way Nomi did in the forest.

JONAS! I like the surprise ending, even if this episode dragged a bit for me.

P.S. If anyone knows a place to get Sense8 screencaps, please share :) I'd love to make icons.

Aaaaahhhhh I love episode 6 so much lol

The whole sex scene makes me so crazy. I love Jela's stupid face behind the wheel of the Van Damn watching Capheus finally sealing the deal. And yeah, Zakia saying "Not tonight we don't" girlllll. It was really nice to see other sides of Nairobi and him having to cover for knowing what English tea tastes like is adorable.

Rajan kissing Wolfgang!!!!!! Wolfgang's happy smirk and his giggle - I'm SCREAMING. He did NOT have to have that cute reaction. I'm shipping them so hard right now.
Wolfgang is such a little shit and he's really really INTO IT. Touching his lips like that? SLUT.

Okay so BPO radically changed and something happened to Angelica in Chicago. Then she comes back, brain grafts with that guy in her cluster, and burns her own house down??
The Angelica stuff will remain confusing throughout the rest of the series (and tbh I'm still not sure I 100% understand all of it. There's a really good write up on reddit that I can link for you once you're done with the series if you're intersted but it's full of spoilers obviously)

The pride parade was so beautiful! How on earth did they shoot that scene with all of the sensates there?? It seemed so real.
They full on filmed this at Pride. They had the actors doing what they needed to do and then just let them loose to party. Here's a short video of Max Riemelt (Wolfgang) making out with Brian J Smith (Will) because fans asked them to. I think you'll appreciate it as much as I do: https://youtu.be/o0INYxEa_SI?

Oh no Rajan, I was just starting to like you more!! I don't think his explanation later on in the ep really cleared up his company's shady dealings for me.
Yeaaaaah the moment too good to be true husband turns out to be. This is so shitty of him but I guess it's a common practice like he says, and when he tells her things are going to change and he'll do things differently I imagine he's being honest. It doesn't really get into it but she forgives him so it must happen off screen? I have a few WIPs about it anyway that may see the light of day at some point.

Daniela's parents are so terrible. Such a contrast to Amanita's parents in this ep, who are so open and fun, and also so comfortable with each other and their daughter. Oakland, CA mention!!!
This show really has a thing about parents doesn't it? Kala and Amanita are the only ones who have two+ parents that are both a) alive and b) not shitty.

Damn, has there ever been a kinkier het couple??
I love them soooo much lol. Their scenes together have such intensity even when they're just talking, and then she ends up beating him up again and he just looks at her like please ma'am can I have some more? Gah what a man. Sun deserves that level of devotion. And her outfit in that scene is gorgeous.

Oh lito :( This episode had so many ouchies and the betrayal of his casting agency stung so bad. I could tell that dude was a piece of shit but Lito still trusted him.
Right. Poor Lito. The guy hugging him in the elevator and thanking him just breaks me. To go from the high of the parade to losing everything is absolutely crushing for him.

When they say he "Bulgered" Todd to kill that British guy - that means brain grafting, right?
Yes. Bulger was the guy in San Francisco Nomi and Amanita went to visit who had the same procedure she was supposed to have, and then woke up and went on a killing spree after he was supposed to be a vegetable.

I'm curious why it's Riley that is the one to go there.
It's because Riley is connected to Mr Hoy. She made those connections because they need information on Whispers to take him down, and Mr Hoy found someone who's willing to talk to her but will only do it in person.

JONAS! I like the surprise ending, even if this episode dragged a bit for me.
Good ol' Jonas, always a mystery :)

Looking forward to your next recap :) Maevedarcy might be able to guide you with screencaps. They're good at that sort of thing.
