Sunshine Challenge Prompts One and Two

Finally getting in on the sunshine_challenge!

Prompt One - Housekeeping
Truth be told, I know nothing about customizing DW. I did add more tags to my profile, and I'll probably add a little blurb under the 'about me' section. Does anyone know how to make multi-level tags?

Prompt Two - Fannish Identity
I picked this name when I first joined Livejournal, because I was obsessed with Supernatural and thought I would be in the fandom forever. Now that I'm older I wish I would have picked something that wasn't fandom specific. I haven't been reading or writing in SPN fandom ever since I fell behind on the episodes. It also bothers me that I put a gender marker in my username. I think it was just available so I went for it, but I like how online we can be whatever or whoever we really want to present as. Things like money and gender and real names don't matter so much. I want to be immersed in the online Utopia that is (sometimes) fandom! I'm on the hunt for a new username. Can you believe happinessbegins is available on DW and LJ? I'm super tempted because it's the name of the Jonas Brothers Album, but then again it doesn't really make much sense as far as usernames go.

Multilevel tags are just putting a colon in.

So my tags are sorted by things I made "by me: fic" "by me: pictures" and they show up as a nice little list with "by me" as the header. You have to go into Customize Style (https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=modules) and change your tag display module to "multilevel."

I fell of of the SPN train after s8, but I'll always have fond memories of that show. ♥ That said, if you are feeling the need to rename your journal then I say now is a good a time as any! Have the Jonas Brothers spoken about the meaning if the album title? Maybe there is something there in an interview that might strike you as an updated username? I found a link that lists all the lyrics to all of the songs on that album if that helps your search (lovewithanattitudde stuck out to me but of course you need to find something that resonates with you!). I will always think fondly of SPN. So many fandom firsts for me! And I will probably get caught up at some point. But I do want to reinvent myself a little bit and not feel like I'm failing my old fandom :P Oh that link is great! And I have been listening to a bunch of their interviews, so I'm going to test out a couple of ideas. I appreciate your idea, it's actually a really good username!

Omg yes those ancient usernames that were picked in under a minute a thousand years ago! *is me* Now it's our face on AO3 and on every fannish platform, and I've made my peace with it. Especially now that Bond Girl might have a whole new f/f meaning soon :D I did have someone offer me money for it on LJ once.

I actually ike happinessbegins :) It's hopeful, confident, and sunshiney. And it has plenty of aesthetic double letters.

User names don't have to mean anything. They also don't have to mean anything that other people are aware of. If you like happinessbegins, then adopt it! FWIW, I think it's a great name.

Thanks for the positive encouragement :) I keep putting it off to make sure I like it, but I think I'm going to do it as soon as SPN is over.
