Dear Yuletide

impala_chickHooray for Yuletide! I've included many of my likes (and kinks) below, but the list is mainly to spark ideas. I'm thrilled you want to write one of these small fandoms, so please go where your muse takes you. This year all of my requests turned out to be ships that I enjoy, but if you want to keep the fic gen or friendship focused, that's okay too. Here is my AO3 profile and here is my tumblr.
Generally speaking, I love stories where characters have to come to terms with any of the trauma from canon by communicating or being physically intimate with another character. I also love post-canon fics or missing scene fics, where the characters are on another adventure or are solving another canon-style dilemma. Wacky themes or AUs that are treated seriously are great, too.

Clay & Justin or Clay/Justin
I love when Justin is soft with Clay and tries to get him to relax or be kind to himself (even though Justin could use some TLC too). I also love their banter/snark. S3 left me with so many questions about their emotional health! If you want to do something post-canon or in the future I'm fine with that. I would be interested in something to do with ghost!Hannah (malevolent or not) or maybe the boys are literally haunted by their past or ghost characters (even Bryce), and they have figure out what is going on. I'd also love something more fluffy - maybe they take a day for themselves, or one surprises the other with birthday plans (for example)? Or they crash a college party?
I love the found family trope, so maybe they go on a road trip with Clay's parents (or their other friends)? Or they celebrate Christmas (or any other holiday) together?
Or maybe everything gets darker and one or both of them becomes an assassin? I'm interested in any and all of that.
Turn
Ben & Caleb or Ben/Caleb
Ben and Caleb make a great team, and the snark/banter between these two is what I love most. I think they are at their best when they are having fun and scheming. I'd love to see what they do in their down time (if they can get any down time). Or more info about pre-canon would be great: how did they get to know each other? Was there one big event that really forged their friendship? Seeing them do something competitive, like horse racing or gambling would be fun. Maybe they go undercover? One rescuing the other from a sticky situation is always great, too. I'd also be interested in reading about any sort of 1770s holiday traditions.
As for shippy stuff: Maybe Washington has them go undercover as brothers, and they hate it? This ship is perfect for "undercover as a couple" in a modern Spy AU, too. I'd love to see them go from friends to lovers in an almost natural way, where they wind up being surprised by their feelings.
The Living and the Dead
Nathan/Charlotte
I made a post about why I love the show here, but the creepy ghost stories and the whole spooky aesthetic really worked for me. Any more 1800s festivals/traditions/creepy ghost stories would be excellent. The cliffhanger was killer, so any exploration of that would be interesting. Maybe Nathan is really a witch, or can communicate with ghosts? Maybe Charlotte was dead the whole time? Or you can have them move back to the city, but the ghosts follow them or haunt their dreams.
I also loved the way the show subverted gender roles but still showed the het couple working as a team. Charlotte worked hard to be taken seriously as the boss lady, so I'd love to see more of that. Maybe she learns how to fix the farm equipment herself, or she and Nathan deal with a misogynistic vendor? Maybe she and Nathan work together to appease the ghosts and set everything to rights? I'm so curious about Charlotte's backstory and her work as a photographer. Did she meet Nathan when she was hired to photograph him?

Leo & Mattie or Leo/Mattie
I made a post about why I love this show here. Mattie was my favorite for a lot of reasons, but I most appreciated how she didn't accept the status quo. Once she realized there was something she could actually do, she didn't hesitate to help the synths, her family, and Leo. I'd love some kind of resolution to the series finale. My ideal scenario is if Mattie and Leo agree to work towards a healthy partnership, and are able to support each other with their synth and human family around them. I expect there to be growing pains and conflict, but I think at the end of the day they would want to be in each other's lives. I would enjoy pregnancy fic or kid fic, or even future fic where Leo and Mattie are much older and the world is a different place. I'd love to see Mattie still really involved in the politics of the day and/or being some super savvy tech developer alongside Leo.
Any type of canon divergence fic or a missing scene would be great, too. How did Mattie feel about visiting Leo's childhood home? Did Leo and Mattie memorialize Mia in their own ways? What was it like for Leo during their first time? I feel like he has a lot to work through, at least with his human side.
Feel free to include any other characters you would like to.
The Conjuring
Ed/Lorraine
What a power couple! I love when it feels like it's Ed and Lorraine against the world, and they work together to face evil even though they are both scared. In the Conjuring 1 and 2, I really like Ed and Lorraine's focus on being open and willing to listen to people that everyone else had written off. I'd love a story where they are investigating some new haunted place/witch/demon/etc, or Lorraine is exploring her clairvoyant powers further. I'd also enjoy any type of pre-canon story about Ed learning about and accepting Lorraine's abilities.
I'm not really into the religious story lines on their own, but I think the use of catholic imagery and the subversion of those religious symbols by the demons/entities makes for good spooky drama. I'm open to a fic that is dark and scary, but I'd love if Ed's sense of humor and kindness still came through.
I'm also open to crossovers of this universe with any other spooky universe! For example: Supernatural, Buzzfeed Unsolved, Mindhunters. Maybe Sam and Dean meet Lorraine and Ed on a hunt? Or Sam needs advice and finds them/goes to their lectures? Maybe it turns out Ryan is a clairvoyant and seeks out Lorraine? Or he and Shane go back to their museum and meet Ed and Lorraine's ghosts?
