I made some collages for the
lands_of_magic challenge this week. This was a fun experiment!
Featuring David Webster's apartment (Band of Brothers), Nate Fick's apartment (Generation Kill), and a Modern AU home for Catherine the Great (The Great).
David is excited to get his own place, away from the fake grandeur of his parents' old house. It's not that big, but in 1950s New York he does just fine for himself.

Nate gets an apartment in Boston after he gets out of the Marine Corps and starts grad school. He doesn't have much time to do anything in the kitchen or decorate his bedroom, and Brad gives him shit about it being pretty bare but he's basically a college student again. He's able to make space for all his books, even if they look a little haphazard. At least everything else is organized.

Catherine doesn't have to entertain many people at her private residence, but she still conducts business from home occasionally. That's why her home office has to be exceedingly intimidating. Her living room is more lowkey and inviting, and her bedroom is where she really gets to indulge in the finer things.
