impala_chickThanks so much for writing for me :) I included a bunch of tropes/thinks I like in this letter. Feel free to mix and match things from the general likes list. I read and enjoy all ratings of fic.
Things I like:
•Angst! Darker themes, and characters that face their metaphorical, or literal, demons or maybe don't always make the "right" choices, and then have to deal with those consequences. Bonus points of the other two characters have to pull someone back from the brink of self-destruction.
•Characters being surprised or annoyed at themselves for catching feelings for more than one character, and then pining for a bit. Bonus points if there was a friends with benefits situation previously arranged and one or more of the characters want to make it more serious.
•Humor or Characters who try to stay upbeat even when things aren't going great. I also like crack treated seriously scenarios. Outlandish plots are okay when the characters are actually trying to navigate them.
•Battle Throuples/Working together during a mission/Badass women and the people who love & respect them.
•Bachelor/ette parties, or the OT3 going to the wedding of another couple, or weddings/dates/proposals getting interrupted. Or characters meeting at a wedding? I just like wedding settings. Bonus points for found family being incorporated into the wedding or event.
•Getting dressed up for some kind of event or party, or characters "cleaning up well" when they don't normally get fancy. I love this scenario when it comes to undercover missions!
•Snowed in/Trapped together, or long road trips. Especially when an established couple is trapped with other character(s) - how does that affect their dynamic? Is it hard to cultivate intimacy when you're so close to a third person all the time? Is there a bunch of tension? Are they forced to talk about their unconventional feelings?
•Couples welcoming a third, or at least figuring out how to make that dynamic work. Totally fine if one person in the established couple is more willing than the other partner. Maybe one of the partners is just trying to repress their feelings.
•Discovering or communicating with ghosts or demons & exploring haunted houses/places. Making a demon deal or a deal with a witch, or using some kind of dark magic and getting more than you bargained for. I also like when the main character(s) is turned into a demon/ghost/supernatural thing, temporarily or permanently. I'm on board with a dark story line or horror vibes.
•Heist or case fic, like Ocean's style, or where some character(s) go on a mission to save other character(s).
•Alternate Universes I like: "what if"/fork in the road canon divergence, alternate first meeting, Dystopia/Apocalypse, In Space!, Professional Sports, magical realism, or Pacific Rim.
Things I like in art:
-Close up details, like hands or hair blowing in the wind
-Wide open landscapes, with the subjects being sort of small
-AU drawings, like alternative costume designs or alternative professions
-Ink pen & b/w drawings
Things I like in fanvids:
-A small/brief sampling of voice-overs from the show (instead of a vid entirely of voice overs)
-Matching lyrics of a song to Canon, or using metaphors to match scenes
-Quicker cuts
-Humor and crack! Vids based off of vines or with fun text
-Angsty songs and pining/mutual pining!
-Dark AUs
-Mixing up canon chronology
-What-if Canon AUs, like giving the characters different endings
Smut Likes:
+Banter as foreplay
+Experienced character teaching inexperienced characters about sex
+A Dom running the show for the other reluctant/nervous or enthusiastic/confident subs - maybe the Dom planned out the scene beforehand, or knows how to push their partners to their limits
+Characters working on improving for their partners (aka the sex might be awkward the first time)
+A character dealing with shame regarding sexual/kink desires but the other characters eventually finding out how they feel and supporting them
+Dirty talk and/or Verbal humiliation, even if the characters are just experimenting with it. Use of the words slut/cockslut/pussyslut for example would be fine with me.
+Rough Sex, where the characters can push each other around or use their strength (exception to this is no slapping in the face please)
+Dubcon, esp. aliens/magic/bad guys made them do it, ritual sex, fuck or die. I also like dealing with the awkward aftermath and communicating during or after
+Spit roasting, Eiffel Tower, Object penetration, anal, double penetration, & females pegging male characters.
+Any kind of oral fixation, rimming, cunnilingus, messy blowjobs, characters really loving either giving or receiving.
+Sexting, or at least trying to make it sexy even though it's difficult to do. I especially love this trope for long distance relationships or when one person in the OT3 is on a trip.
+Suit kink/all dressed up kink, where one character really digs the other characters' outfit(s) and they have sex mostly clothed. Maybe they get distracted from a mission, sneak away from a party, or they tumble into bed at a hotel after a wedding?
+Honor bondage, where a character tells the others not to move or tells them where to position their body. Or actual bondage, too. This works well with dom/sub play and dirty talk.
+Breath play, with hands or other things like corsets.
+Omorashi in a dom/sub play scenario.
Do not Want:
24/7 Dom/Sub AU; scat/emetophilia; A/B/O dynamics; ageplay/infantilisation; bestiality; characters having sex while being extremely intoxicated/while blacking out; Coffee Shop AU, Library AU, Soulmate AU; and detailed body horror.
