What I'm Watching + To do

•Heated Rivalry!! It's so exciting to fall in love with a new show and boy am I down BAD. Shane Hollander, the man that you are. There are specific scenes that might never leave my brain. More on this later.

•Umbrella Academy Season Four. I saw how bad the reviews were, so I totally avoided watching until now. I was prepared to hate it but I ... didn't? It did feel rushed, especially the Lila/Five storyline and Viktor and AU!Hargreeves. I wanted more of both of those relationships, actually. But I laughed at the hijinx and I did tear up in the end. I loved how the family had become about not just the seven of them (b/c of Claire, Diego and Lila's kids, etc), but in the end they still chose each other. Being in love looked really good on Five. Also, my ship is still alive b/c when Allison got hurt in the last ep, Luther freaked out and then ran to her and I ate that shit up. [This season was set during Christmas?? Perfect for this time of year]

Movies
•Babygirl. I watched this because likeadeuce made a post about it, and it did not disappoint. This film really spoke to me! Tthere's still guilt and shame and confusion to deal with when it comes to desire sometimes! But even though that's true, the film is every pro-Let Woman Have Orgasms. Just, incredibly satisfying. Joyful, even, by the end. I watched it 3x already *g* [Totally a Christmas movie as well. So many decorations!]

•I just watched Fifty Shades of Grey for the first time. What a contrast to the above film. I mean, I'm not sure if Anastasia liked one second of the whole movie? Jamie Dornan is hot, though, I'll give him that. It's a train wreck but I want to see where it goes in the second movie.

•Sinners. The second half was SO fun. The world building was incredible! I'm not the biggest Michael B. Jordan fan but the cast really brought their A-game. I liked the balance of humor and horror and I loved the ending.

•Materialists. Chris Evans was looking cute with his frumpy hair but overall pretty meh. I did like the message at the end though - let women be the breadwinners!

And Scott. <3 Damn, episode 3 was something, even though I missed Shane and Ilya a little.

Heated Rivalry feels like it might be the fandom-show-of-the-year because it is so popular! I read the books and will probably try to catch the show at some point. :D

I still haven't seen Sinners but it's on my list.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Sense8 exchange gifts - LOVE that show so much.

I can't believe the books weren't on my radar before! But I do want to read them now.

Ahhhh, the icon is from my time in hockey RPF fandom! The art is by pentapus (you can find it here, it's so cute!) and depicts Sidney Crosby and Evgeni (aka Geno) Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who were my faves when I was in the fandom. Heated Rivalry is bringing lots of hockey feelings roaring back! ;D

Oh that IS so freaking cute! I have been googling all things Hockey lately to catch up with the Heated Rivalry fandom and I'm learning so much about NHL teams. I've only been to one Sharks game but I'm about make that two :P

It's been a little while since I've been invested in hockey-the-sport, haha, but I found that hockey games are really fun to go to! And I've actually been to a Sharks game!! (I've been to NHL games in San Jose and Vancouver.) The Sharks had super fun shark-themed lighting/graphics when the team scored and good energy, it was a blast. I hope you have a lot of fun!

Oh neat! I've been to Vancouver once around Thanksgiving and it was a really cool city. I hope I can go again - maybe a hockey game would be a good excuse :P
