The
retro_icontest theme 15 is Love at First Watch and that happens to coincide with the Tumblr HBO WWII Rewatch. Accordingly, here are some Band of Brothers icons. I'm hoping to get to Part Four this week and therefore stay on schedule :D
Part One: Currahee

Round 15 Icon themes: Memorable Quote/Crowning Moment of Awesome (Winters realizing all his Noncomms defended him)/A character you connected to (Lieb)
I love the way this ep showed the flashback to training, and how it's bookended with Winters (and Nix) preparing mentally for the jump. Liebgott is still my favorite.
Part Two: Day of Days

Round 15 Icon theme: OTP
I saw some similarities between this episode and Masters of the Air w/ a bunch of Army guys all spread out and trying to navigate the chaos. This Nix/Winters scene is probably the one that turned me into a shipper.
Part Three: Carentan

Round 15 Icon themes: the moment you knew/character development/characterization
Harry! He's the star of this episode, and I can't believe I hardly noticed that before. This episode's theme of fighting through fear is well executed. The leaders of Easy have to push forward and act as an example for everyone else, and they all do it in their own way: Speirs believing he's already dead, Harry seeing it all as a game, Bull and Buck being hyper-focused, and then of course Dick constantly strategizing.

Round 15 Icon theme: setting
The scene at the end with Mrs. Lamb makes a great point about the amount of guys they lost - but could they have made her seem a little less oblivious? She must realize some, if not all, of those guys are dead.
