Jonas Brothers: The Album
Jun. 4th, 2023 05:31 pmOkay so I think the title is silly (I guess they couldn't all decide on a title??) but I am LIVING for this new album. So many bops. There are a ton of songs w/ the word 'supernatural' in it, which I find highly amusing. All of the songs have major summer vibes. They are Dads now and they're out here making fun, slick music even better than they did before and I'm just feeling proud overall. My least favorites are Wings (it's kinda boring?) and Summer in the Hamptons (I have NO idea what they're saying - sex is like a fancy vacation? I guess?).
But WAFFLE HOUSE. Hoo boy, instant new favorite. It feels both fun and authentic, a combo I think the JoBros do very well.
Other favorite is SUMMER BABY. It opens with the lyrics You're a full blown problem, lucky I'm your baby's father. AMAZING. INCREDIBLE. NO NOTES.
I love Little Bird, an ode to daughters <3 And Montana Sky and Americana feel like perfect road trip songs. Celebrate is going to be so fun live!
There are no Seattle tour dates so I'll have to figure out where we can go see them this fall.
