Yes I only wrote this after a rewatch! I was a little nervous because sometimes rewatches can go badly but this rewatch only made me fall for the show even harder.
I've seen some of those tags on AO3 and tumblr too - where people are clearly trying to fend off fandom wank so that threesome scene must have been DRAMA when it aired. I haven't really waded into it because I like staying in my happy place. Glad you agree that it was lovely!! They still had communication issues to work out but physical touch is such an important love language for all of them and they accomplished things without speaking in that scene - and I liked how Maria and Alex seemed really grounded and connected afterwards too.
