adding in the debate about professional players added some interesting complexity. Yes! I won't write any spoilers but now that I've seen the whole series, I think they set it up strong so that they could dive into a bunch of other issues as they went.
I'm a little bit afraid now though since you say the show struggles to find a strong female voice. The last two episodes in the series are my favorites for a number of reasons, but I think the way Alma (and Martha) are incorporated into the story actually works out well. I still have some minor gripes but I'll be curious to hear your thoughts!
