I loved the OG Roswell! The second episode, "Monsters," is one of my all time favorites for characters dealing with learning about aliens.
FYI, the show was canceled more suddenly than they'd planned for (IIRC, a 22 episode order was cut back to 19), so the conclusion of the arcs was done instead in a series of 4 books that I recall being quite decent.
